Waitt Institute Continues Their 21 Year Partnership With Sanford Community Center In 2025
One of our first grants from the Waitt Foundation in the 1990s was the Sanford Community Center in our hometown of Sioux City, Iowa. We have been a proud supporter for 30 years.
Their outstanding work with youth inspires us and the community has seen the results of the program who nurtures, educates, inspires and mentors children who need some extra attention.
The Center works with children, families, connects to other agencies, and works directly in the Sioux City
One of our focuses is to help enhance the Sanford Community Outreach Youth Prevention team, who work directly with the Sioux City School System.
In 2025 we helped them enhance the number of outreach workers to add one in the North Side of Sioux City school district.
