Long time WIVP Partner Futures without Violence, in partnership with the Ad Council, kicked off a new campaign this June called “Teach Early”.  The campaign is part of a long term commitment on the part of Futures to engage men and boys in violence prevention.

Our partnership with Futures began in 2000, when we co sponsored research with Peter Hart, that determined that men would talk to boys about violence but felt they hadn’t been asked.  We asked.

The program “Coaching Boys into Men” grew out of that research, and included three TV spots between 2002 and 2006.  The final spot was called “Father and Son”, and it is this ad that forms the basis of the new “Teach Early” spots.
